Day 1. Nis

Continuation of the journey to Niska Banja. Only 7 km southeast of Nis, on the international road to Sofia - 250 m above sea level - there is one of the oldest spa towns in Serbia - Niska Banja. Springs of this spa provide water that is characterized by a variety of chemical compositions and are among the most radioactive in the country and Europe. Hour and a half retention for a tour, then proceed to the ancient site - the royal residence of Emperor Constantine - Mediane raised at the beginning of the fourth century. Sightseeing mosaics and villas. Continuation of the journey to the city of Nis. Visiting the Fortress of Nis. Turkish fortress was built on the ruins of the ancient and medieval fortifications. Present ramparts of the fortress are built from February 1719 to June 1723 and present remains one of the most beautiful and best preserved buildings of its kind in the Balkans. Free time for sightseeing and walking through the fortress and narrower urban core. Break for lunch. We suggest a visit to one of the restaurants with the famous specialties of Nis, in the only street that has preserved the oriental character of Nis - Tinkers Alley. One-hour break, and then go back to camp Red Cross, first Nazi concentration camp in Yugoslavia. Check-in hotel. Accommodation in a hotel. Overnight.

Day 2: Nis - Plocnik - Devil`s town – Prolom spa
Breakfast. Departure on a trip to Devil's Town, with a tour of the site Plocnik, Devil's Town and Prolom Spa. Plocnik is the archaeological site of the Vinca culture near the coast of Toplica, near Prokuplje. This is complex of settlements from the Neolithic period (5500 to 4700 BC), covers an area of about 110 hectares, and the discovery of the first decade of XXI century, indicates that it is the oldest metallurgical center in the world. Round tour and then continuation tof journey. Below the mountain Radan, at an altitude of about 600 meters there is a very rare scene of clay figures. These figures are very rarely seen in the world, resulting in many centuries of erosion processes. Devil's Town consists of two "mahala" with about 200 figures, opposing left and right side of the cliff. Left group is called the Devil's Gully, and right gully of hell. Each group is composed of hundreds of stone figures. The process of creating these clay figures is endless, but some disappearing under extreme weather conditions. After completing the sightseeing, trip to Prolom spa. Prolom Banja is a spa and health resort in the south of Serbia, under the Radan Mountain (1409 m) and Sokolovica (1050 m). It is named after the nearby village of Prolog - situated in the area full of greenery and fresh air, at an altitude of 550-668 m. Free time for sightseeing. Back to Nis. End of program activities.
